- Plan Capitol Metro Trip Via Cell Phone: The Austin Chronicle’s Lee Nichols has great success at first, then a few stumbles, when using a text-messaging feature through the Capitol Metro web site to plan the fastest bus routes around town. Cap Metro is partnering with Dadnab to provide this feature.
- Austin Called a Great Beer Town: Austinist points out that the June 2007 issue of Beer Advocate Magazine lists Austin as one of “Nine Great Beer Towns You Didn’t Know Were Great Beer Towns”. Among the establishments that contribute to the ranking is the fabulous Independence Brewing, run by my friends Amy and Rob Cartwright. Congrats, Independence crew!

Hi Jeff, thanks for the mention. A couple of clarifications:
1. Dadnab is not a service of Capital Metro, though I did work closely with Capital Metro in developing it.
2. Dadnab uses the same method as Capital Metro’s web site to determine the “best” itinerary, so it’s a good idea to experiment with their web-based trip planner to avoid “stumbles”.

Oh, just a couple of other things I forgot to mention.
The latest Austin Chronicle (out today) now has a section in the “Naked City” section about Dadnab. And today’s Daily Texas (UT student newspaper) has a story on Dadnab on the second page of the print edition.
