Saturn Aura: 2007 Car of the Year at the Detroit Auto Show

January 17th, 2007 · 1 Comment

Robert Scoble provided a pointer to Matt Kelly’s story on PodTech about the Saturn Aura winning the Car of the Year award at the the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

We rented a Saturn Aura on a recent trip to Georgia, and I was really impressed. It was roomy inside and very sporty-looking outside. It handled very smoothly both in town and on the highway. For a car that starts at $20,000, it seems like a great value.

Hey Jeff-cool that you actually got the chance to drive one of these. I have to agree, they are sweet–and starting at around $20k it seems to me that you get way more for the money. Seems like the company is really intent on a re-invention of the brand. That was the easy part–building the quality product….now comes the hard part–changing the minds of those who may have a negative impression on the brand. A test drive or a rental like you had I think is the best way for you to see for yourself about the car.
