Former DMN Employees Stay in Touch Via Blogs
Friday was the last day for more than 100 Dallas Morning News employees who accepted severance packages. The buyouts shrank the size of the newsroom by roughly 20 percent.
Already, many of the former employees have started blogs to keep in touch, write about their experiences in their final days at the News, and to keep each other informed with employment advice.
Ed Bark, who was the paper’s TV critic for more than 20 years, has started unclebarky.com and will continue writing about television there. Bark’s “Why I’m Here” post explains his departure from the paper.
